Nous, saints des derniers jours, « croyons tout ce que Dieu a révélé, tout ce qu’il révèle maintenant, et nous croyons qu’il révélera encore beaucoup de choses grandes et importantes concernant le royaume de Dieu » (9e article de foi).
As Latter-day Saints, “we believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God” (Articles of Faith 1:9).

Of the relationship between revelation and doctrine, Elder D. Todd Christofferson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles said, “In the Church today, just as anciently, establishing the doctrine of Christ or correcting doctrinal deviations is a matter of divine revelation to those the Lord endows with apostolic authority.” 1

De même que la révélation est le moyen par lequel la doctrine parvient aux prophètes, voyants et révélateurs, de même chacun de nous peut recevoir sa propre confirmation que la doctrine de l’Évangile de Jésus-Christ est vraie. Cette révélation personnelle s’obtient par la prière, l’étude des Écritures et le témoignage du Saint-Esprit. Nous montrons que nous acceptons la doctrine de Jésus-Christ en nous repentant, en nous faisant baptiser, en recevant le don du Saint-Esprit et en continuant à suivre les lois et à respecter les alliances de l’Évangile pendant toute notre vie.
Just as revelation is the means by which doctrine comes to prophets, seers, and revelators, each of us can also receive our own confirmation that the doctrines of the gospel of Jesus Christ are true. This personal revelation comes through prayer, scripture study, and the witness of the Holy Ghost. We show that we accept the doctrine of Jesus Christ by repenting, being baptized, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and continuing to follow the laws and keep the covenants of the gospel throughout our life.
